HOW CHANGING WHAT YOU EAT CAN IMPACT YOUR RESULTS
…it is the synergy between your diet and exercise that produces results.
Changing your diet can have a big impact on getting the results you are after, as it is the synergy between your diet and exercise that produces results.
Here are a few changes to make to help you look and feel better:
Eat breakfast: Research has shown that those trying to lose weight are more successful in doing so when they eat breakfast. Eating breakfast can help to stabilise blood sugar levels, prevent over eating later in the day and improves your energy levels.
Get Adequate Protein: Adequate protein contributes to healthy weight maintenance, building & retaining muscles and balancing hunger levels. It’s best to spread your protein intake throughout the day, consuming protein with each meal. E.g. Eggs at breakfast, protein yoghurt at morning tea, plant or meat based protein source at lunch and dinner and nuts as a snack.
Eat Carbohydrates: Carbohydrates provide the preferential source of energy for the brains, muscles and several other body organs and tissues. Eating an adequate amount of carbohydrates in each meal will help provide your body with the energy it needs and boost your performance in your workouts.
Opt for nutrient rich snacks: Micronutrients are an important part of our diets, they have functions such as assisting with our immune system, helping eye function, improving our hair, skin and nail health and preventing damage from free radicals. Foods such as fruits and vegetables are high in micronutrients – try adding these into your snack rotation.
